We warmly welcome you to our cooking class at Ginger cookery. It is a fully hands – on cooking class with authentic Vietnamese recipes. At our cookery course, you will learn not only how to cook like the locals, to gain expertise in balancing flavours of saltiness, sweetness, sourness and piquancy, but you also learn more about our traditional food culture and enjoy the fun of cooking. Our cooking classes are held in Thuy’s Ginger Homestay – a beautiful little oasis in the centre of Halong city. Thuy is an experienced cook who can ensure a memorable experience.

Best hands on cooking class and wonderful market tour
This is truly a gem while visiting Ha Long beside the cruise around the Bay. It was SO MUCH FUN. We learned more than just cooking skills during the market tour and the cooking class. The tour was very insightful and gave us a greater knowledge about Vietnamese culture. The cooking class itself was fully hands-on and the food was so tasty and finally turned out to be one of our best meals in Vietnam.
The whole experience is so well organized and the instructor was so thoughtful. NONE of us were left behind or struggled with any of the cooking steps. Ginger Cookery was a remarkable and memorable experience that I enthusiastically recommend..

Wonderful experience – super tasty food
I had such an enriching cultural experience at Ginger Cookery. We met chef Thuy at the coastal market. We’ve got to know about the local harvest, the locally grown fruits. I have never experienced nor seen such an interesting market.. lt was incredible. We made a variety of fresh seafood dishes, salads and noodles dishes from given recipes and great support from chef Thuy at her a bright, well-decorated, spacious and super clean kitchen.
Man oh man what an experience. Thank you Ginger cookery for turning what could have been any old regular cooking class into a memorable, AUTHENTIC time in Ha Long with you.
